yes, monday, urg, is open for me. I think monday is preferable. -swans
well, unless it's sunday early, like six in the morning, or late, like 11:30pm, I can't make it. It's ok though, I'm accountable for what I don't know on Tuesday. -Swans

may i suggest tomorrow during the day? I personally have to be somewhere tomorrow night, and I have work to do in the morning. Tim, I'm sure no one has a problem with your house. We can house hop, each meeting at a different place, woohoo. -Swans
yeah, so ya'll are spending every free moment taking the computer tests right? I hope so. They help a lot I think. If you don't have them, I'm sorry for taunting you. So sorry. -Swans
geeez, mr. c, way to be a jerk about it. It was you who gave us one day till the day it was due to get them to you. Now, understood it has now been 7 days, still, you should only be slightly irritated with us, and a bit more irritated with yourself. Maybe some goes to ilad too, I'm not sure about the details, or the breakdown of blame. -Swans

ok, so nevermind, the stuff isn't on the website. AND it's usad.org not.com. In other words the site's useless. could someone make copies of the resource guide for econ. I only have ace (which sucks in the energy department, but does well on indepentant research)
peanut butter christmas cookies.................mmmmmmmmmmmmm
marj, you're beyond help.
Anyway, seeing an improvment in morale, troops.
If it hasn't been stressed enough, STUDY! and if you are missing sections, the website (usad.com) has most of them, I think. (i'm going to hope so at least)

also, I think that everyone needs to state the areas they don't get, or at least the ones they have trouble remembering. then state the areas you are avaliable to tutor in. I think this was what we were aiming for the whole time, but we really should orginize a bit more. I can help with music and lang lit. esp.
again, I'm going to stress the fact that someone needs to get me a CD and CD ROM. I know you're probobly tired of hearing me say that, but...I really need them. The only way I can remember some of the facts about the music is if I hear it. (and isn't there something about listening to the music as a test?). Also, I read through the econ stuff (not to mention took the intro to business final), I don't understand econ AT ALL. There are some things someone really needs to sit down and explain to me because for once I can't just read it, and to make better use of the time we have with that teacher, I think it would be helpful to get some of the very basics down before he gets here. I also need help in Math.
umm, tim, they are posting. Wow, these practice tests are hard, I know nothing. -Swans
wow, ummmm, I'm gonna act like the last ten blogs aren't there, just because. Well, yes sasha, if you think we could learn something from her, especially those of us who don't know the first thing about music theory, we'll talk about it thursday so we know when we're available. Ummm, yeah, I guess we're meeting during the 6th final (and I thought I had a five day weekend, silly me) and we're doing econ, right? So like, you guys best read up, i know, finals, but you're all pretty smart, you can read after you finish your finals. I read super quiz for an hour after my stats final, cake, easy as cake, bacause cake is very easy. I would estimate that I've read 7% of the information, I don't know where the rest of you are, but I want to be up to 100% in three weeks. So many pages, insanity. So, yeah, keep reading, don't forget how bad it feels to see northside take 90% of all the medals, remember? I know I do, I want to kick Haywood's ass, on scantron tests in addition to physically. Oh, and Alex (Nat and George too I guess) you best be takin on that A teamer, he's a bitch. -Swans

o yeah, and was someone going to get me the CD and the CD-ROM? I want to take a couple of those tests...
Can we compare North side's scores now with what they were a while agoalong with ours? I think I heard that they didn't improve as much, but can we come up with percentage stuff on that, because if they are human (which I'm assuming (maybe inncorrectly) they are), they might fall into a kind of security thinking that we'll never catch up. Which means they might get lazy. Which means they might forget. Which means we can still kick their asses! (wow, I think I'm way way way way way way too into this competition thing)

it did? yayy, I'm always worried about that stuff. I say things, and never know how they actually work out when recieved. Thanks for the feedback. Oh yeah, many of you may now realize that this is becoming a cut throat competition not only against the other schools (which is where it should be) but betwixt ourselves. Yes, it is becoming dangerously close to being an individual effort to compete and win instead of a team effort. We're a team, that's why we study ten things, if we just wanted medals, we'd cut our our worst subjects and just study the rest, screw our team score, but no, we're a team. Also, though we all know we won't all be taking tests for the team at regionals and state, it is not a lost effort to have been in acadec. You are part of the team, you help everyone else study, you also do well on the tests, without more than nine people, we would no doubt be more lazy. There are downsides to having (is it four?) people who won't compete from our team, but there is a lot that everyone benefits from anyway. We need internal competition or we would be less spurred to do our best. In addition, please, don't become embittered if you don't think you are going to compete, honestly, right now it should only encourage you to work as hard as you can. We are working together to get the best score possible, it's a team effort, and we have a 13 person team. Really, only 6 people's scores count in the end, less than half of the team, but every last one of us has been important in making the team do however well we do. Ok, I just felt like i had to write this, it's been on my mind that some people will think this has all been for nothing, and have some sort of spite for academic decathlon. Right now, we don't know who is going to compete. We have no idea really. The next competition will be figured in. If you feel like you were way behind, study. Those of you who weren't at the scrimmage don't know how much you really have to study now, take the rest of our words for it, it's a lot. Ummm, I don't know if I'm the only one who feels like this here, I probably am, but I would be damn proud to have been on an acadec team that wins even if i didn't compete, but I would be less proud of competing on a team that doesn't win. AHHHHH, have faith, keep studying, come on people now, smile on your brother, everybody get together, it's time to love one another right now. i think that was right-- Swans
PS: Natalie, this is honestly not aimed at you, I just felt like a lot of people might need to think about it in a different way.
actually, no one won anything, we lost horribly, a lot of people realized just how much they have to study to even compete, and how much more they need to do to win. -Swans
